May meeting

I was struggling a bit at this meeting and had to leave early. However that was OK as I had spoken to Gill before the meeting and confirmed that it was the same delivery as that I had heard in Pendle. Again though it was such an interesting talk, Corset Unlaced, by Gill Roberts. She mixed stories of how the corset was developed and first worn with samples hat she had made for outside wesr. She had slides that explained the problems of wearing a corset but apologised as she usually wore one to give the talk{this evening she had forgotten it} Members told me that the talk was so good that they had difficulty in finishng on time.

Our meeting had begun with a show and tell and marion showed us a piece that had been selected for an impressive exhibition in London.

Exchange Visit.
We will be visiting Merseyside branch on Saturday 16th June in the afternoon.
All members are invited to go along and to meet Merseyside branch members and see what they do. We don’t get many opportunities to meet with EG members of other branches or see how they run their meetings, so this should be an enjoyable occasion.  Venue details on the noticeboard if you wish to go.
