Our meeting had begun with a show and tell and marion showed us a piece that had been selected for an impressive exhibition in London.

all had a chance to experiment and learn how to use them to enhance our embroidery.

place on 17th July. The cost is £25. Menu choices are available this
evening. If you wish to come, please make your menu selection tonight.

GDPR
~ General Data Protection
Regulation ~ replaces Data Protection
Directive. Which is the current legislation.
You will shortly receive a briefing document from the EG on the
actions HQ, regions and branches are required to take to comply with the new
regulations.
Exchange Visit.
We will be
visiting Merseyside branch on Saturday 16th June in the
afternoon.
All members are
invited to go along and to meet Merseyside branch members and see what they do.
We don’t get many opportunities to meet with EG members of other branches or
see how they run their meetings, so this should be an enjoyable occasion. Venue details on the noticeboard if you wish
to go.
Exhibitions
We don’t normally
mention exhibitions in London, but if one of our members has work on show we
make an exception! Marion has some
pieces in the Prism exhibition “Transient” at Hoxton Arches, London E2 8HD.
Ten Plus Textiles are having
exhibition in the Atkinson Gallery, Lord St, Southport from
7th April – 15th
July. Open Mon – Sat 10am to 4pm.
“Slaves of Fashion”, work by the Singh Twins
at the Walker Art gallery, Liverpool explores the history of Indian textiles,
Empire, enslavement and luxury consumerism and the contemporary relevance of
these issues today. Until 20 May.
